Osaka Jo, is Osaka's Castle. Built in 1598, the walls you see there are the same walls since the 1620s. The actual castle though has been rebuilt many times, due to wars, fires,bombs and and a conversion to a barracks. The castle you are looking at was reonstructed in 1997.
